Big Life Journal is completed with a Journal Buddy — a parent, grandparent, teacher, older sibling, a relative, or a friend who lives far.
Journal Buddies will love their special time connecting, listening to kids’ ideas, sharing their own stories, and enjoying great conversations about life. Children and grown-ups alike will look forward to this time together!
Your child will be able to listen to the complementary episodes of the podcast as they are going through their Big Life Journal. This creates a powerful multisensory experience which allows them to absorb information faster and more effectively.
With plenty of room to draw and write on each page, the Big Life Journal lets children work at their own pace as they reflect, learn, and grow.
This beautiful guided journal is made for little hands to use and durable enough to last as a keepsake for children as they grow older.
- Bright, sturdy hardcover
- 176 pages of high-quality paper
- Lays flat when opened for easy drawing and writing
- Sewn-in satin ribbon bookmark
Our well-constructed journals need to be “worked open” to take advantage of the lay-flat feature. Do this to make sure your journal lays nicely flat.
How the Big Life Journal - 2nd Edition different from the 1st edition?
It is a completely new journal! The stories, quotes, illustrations, and writing prompts are all different. We collected feedback from the users of the 1st Edition and made improvements based on that!
Do you need to go through the 1st edition first?
No, your child can start with the 2nd Edition right away.
What ages is this journal good for?
We recommend ages 7-10.
How do we listen to the podcast?
You can listen to Big Life Kids podcast on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and anywhere else. Find all the links here: biglifejournal.com/podcast.

I really love the material! I bought it for my son 9, and granddaughter,12, a year ago. This material even helps me, 48. I highly recommend these books and pdfs.
My 10 yr old son was really down on himself. Dyslexia, Remote Learning, Vision Therapy and Sensory Processing to the max, head to toe. I was at the beginning stages of researching a behavior therapist or coach. We already have a Dys. Tutor and an Occupational Therapist, what's one more to the team. He had already gone through a full neuro evaluation. The things my son was saying was out of my league and I wanted to get it right when I was coaching him. I just did not feel like I was getting through to him. So I purchased the Big Life Journal. We work through a chapter per day during homeschool this year. Only about half way through the book and I've noticed much less negative commenting about himself. It's nearly nonexistent. As if it's pointing him in a bit of a direction that is more positive. It's so subtle but so straight forward. It seems to be written in just a way that he comprehends at his age. Without too much, or too little. At first, I thought he would reject it. He is very black/white and often talks about brainwashing. I was sure he wouldn't accept this Journal, but he did!!!! So... Thank You SOOOOO MUCH for the guidance in the right direction in a world of misguidance. I need all the help I can get. All the Free Resources are great too!
The children love them. Very easy for them to read and follow along.
These journals are amazing! I work at an elementary school and this is a perfect resource for kids to think about and journal their feelings, and work through their emotions.
My kids just turned 7 this week & they were so excited to get their Big Life Journals & Daily Journals. They have been enjoying the opportunity to reflect on their days each evening & we are excited to start our family’s weekly Saturday Big Life Journal discussions! Thank you for all of your help; I really needed it these past few years.
